British Lion last played live in the UK at this year’s Download Festival to a packed Dogtooth Stage* following a headline pub & club tour of late 2021. Their second album The Burning was released by Warner Music (Explorer1 Music in the US) in January 2020.
The band will be undertaking a nine date European headline club tour in Summer 2022, in addition to the three festival shows already announced for Finland, England and Belgium, working in conjunction with the routing for Maiden’s 2022 Legacy Of The Beast tour. Five of the cities are there to make up for the shows that were cancelled back in 2020. Support comes from Airforce & DarkTribe.
Due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the bands control, the show on June 19 at the Lucerna Theatre in Prague will be cancelled. Ticket refunds can be requested at point of purchase. We would like to offer fans the opportunity to attend another show on the tour at no additional ticket cost. To do this, please send proof of purchase and proof of refund to contactus(at)britishlionuk.com with the subject line ‘British Lion – Prague’.

BRITISH LION would like to thank their agent for the exceptional work in putting together this tour at such short notice and are delighted that they will be able to play some shows this year. As the band hasn’t performed a headline tour in the UK since 2019, these dates will be the first opportunity for fans to see them playing tracks from their second album The Burning released by Warner Music (and by Explorer1 Music in the US) in January 2020, including Bible Black for which a new video was released in 2021.
Taken from their 2020 album The Burning, the song’s lyrics were written by vocalist Richard Taylor who comments, “It’s about abandonment and issues from being brought up in a children’s home.”
